Treux (Picard: Trust) is a northern French municipality with 249 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality belongs to the canton of Corbie and is part of the Communauté de communes du Val de Somme .

geography

The municipality is located around eight kilometers northeast of Corbie and six kilometers southwest of Albert on the southern (left) bank of the boggy valley of the Ancre between Méricourt-l'Abbé and Ville-sur-Ancre on the D120 departmental road.

history

Treux, which was destroyed in World War I , was awarded the Croix de guerre 1914–1918.
