Autheux ( Picard : Auteux ) is a northern French municipality with 120 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Amiens , is part of the Communauté de communes du Territoire Nord Picardie and belongs to the canton of Doullens .

geography

The community is about six kilometers east of Bernaville . The municipal area drains through several unsteady water courses, including the Fossé du Halot, to the Authie .

Toponymy and History

The community name is said to be derived from the Latin altaria. In 1206 Robert des Autheux donated 16 days of land to the Le Gard monastery .
