Poulainville is a northern French municipality with 1211 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Somme department in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens , is part of the Communauté d'agglomération Amiens Métropole and belongs to the canton of Amiens-2 .

geography

Poulainville is located on Route nationale 25 to Doullens about six kilometers north of the center of Amiens and borders Amiens. The municipality extends north to the edge of Villers-Bocage . The disused railway line to Doullens touches the municipality.

history

The two manors of Poulainville belonged to the cathedral chapter and the bishop until the French Revolution .
