Bernâtre ( Picard : Barnate ) is a northern French municipality with 32 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Amiens and is part of the Communauté de communes du Territoire Nord Picardie and the canton of Doullens .

geography

The municipality is located 21 kilometers northeast of Abbeville on the border with the Pas-de-Calais department . Precipitation in the municipal area drains via the Fossé de Bernâtre stream to the Authie river . The dismantled railway line from Doullens to Abbeville ran through the municipality (today largely developed as the Voie Verte hiking trail). The isolated chapel of Saint-Claude belongs to Bernâtre in the south.
