Occoches ( Picard : Ocoche ) is a northern French municipality with 127 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Amiens , is part of the Communauté de communes du Territoire Nord Picardie and belongs to the canton of Doullens .

geography

The community is located on the right (north) bank of the Authie River, around six kilometers west of Doullens . Petit Occoches on the opposite bank of the river belongs to the neighboring municipality of Outrebois .

history

The place is first mentioned in 1138 as Alcoch. In 1507 it passed from the de Beauval family to the du Roy family.
