Famechon is a northern French municipality with 266 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Amiens , is part of the Communauté de communes Somme Sud-Ouest and belongs to the canton of Poix-de-Picardie .

The municipality, traversed by the former Route nationale 320 , with a train station on the railway line from Amiens to Reims in the northeast, is located at the mouth of the Poix River in the Évoissons , around four kilometers east of Poix-de-Picardy .

In 1972, traces of Bronze Age settlement were found in Famechon.
