Guignemicourt ( Picard : Djimicourt ) is a northern French municipality with 360 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens , is part of the Communauté d'agglomération Amiens Métropole and belongs to the canton of Ailly-sur-Somme .

geography

The community is located about twelve kilometers west-southwest of Amiens and eleven kilometers east of Molliens-Dreuil ; the municipality is bounded roughly in the south by the A29 autoroute .

history

During the work on the A29 autoroute, numerous Gallo-Roman traces came to light.

The place is mentioned for the first time in 1190 in the cartular of the monastery le Gard as Gamegnicourt. The feudal estate was dependent on the castellany barony of Picquigny . In 1603 the lord of the castle opened the castle for the services of the Protestant residents of Amiens. 1755 was Louis Pierre Pingré, lord of Guignemicourt, feudal lord.

Attractions

  • Church of Our Lady of the Nativity ( Église Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité ) from the 16th century with stained glass from 1885 (Saint Anthony of Padua) and altar from the 18th century.
