Saint Barthélemy Church

Bermesnil ( Picard : Bérmini ) is a northern French municipality with 222 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Amiens (since 2009) and is part of the Communauté de communes Somme Sud-Ouest and the canton of Poix-de-Picardie .

geography

The municipality is located on the heights of the Liger and Bresle valleys around eight kilometers southwest of Oisemont .

history

The municipality was created in 1972 from the merger of the former municipalities Mesnil-Eudin (Picardy: Au Mini) and Bernapré (Picardy: Bèrnapra).

In Mesnil-Eudin, worked flint was found, which indicates a prehistoric settlement. There was also a feudal castle here that has come off. There is a modern castle in Bernapré.
