Mézerolles ( Picard : Mézrole ) is a northern French municipality with 188 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Amiens , is part of the Communauté de communes du Territoire Nord Picardie and belongs to the canton of Doullens .

The greater part of the populated area of ​​the municipality lies on the right (northern) bank of the Authie River , around nine kilometers west-northwest of Doullens . The municipality extends to the plateau (Plaine du Fay) south of the river.

Toponymy and History

The place name is traced back to the name Macerias .

In 1204, Robert de Maiserolles came to power; 1470 Jeanne de Flavy. Before the French Revolution , it was owned by a branch of the de Mailly family.
