Oisemont is a French commune in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Amiens , the Somme Sud-Ouest community of municipalities and the canton of Poix-de-Picardie (capital of the canton of Oisemont until 2015 ).

The 8.04 km² large community is located in the Vimeu countryside , about 40 kilometers west of Amiens and 30 kilometers from the English Channel .
