Fienvillers ( Picard : Fienvileu ) is a northern French municipality with 686 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Amiens , is part of the Communauté de communes du Territoire Nord Picardie and belongs to the canton of Doullens .

geography

The community is located around four kilometers east-southeast of Bernaville . The municipal area is touched by the disused railway line from Amiens to Doullens.

history

Remains of a feudal castle are said to have been visible in the 19th century. The place first mentioned in 1175 was handed over to the Johanniter von Fieffes in 1223 . In 1899 there were various small-scale industries (mainly weaving).
