Alex Král (born May 19, 1998 in Košice , Slovakia ) is a Czech football player of Slovak descent who plays as a defender and defensive midfielder for Spartak Moscow .

Career

Alex Král began his professional career in the 2016/17 season at FK Teplice . After he was able to establish himself as a regular player there at a young age, he signed a four-year contract with Slavia Prague in February 2019 . The transfer fee was 900,000 euros.

In the round of 16 of the 2018/19 UEFA Europa League , he scored a sensational goal against Sevilla FC with his shoulder while his back was to the goal. At the end of the season he became Czech champion with Slavia.

On September 1, 2019, he signed a five-year contract with the Russian Premier League club Spartak Moscow.

National team

Král played for the Czech U-21 team . He had already passed through various youth selections in the country before that. In 2017 he was voted into the best team at the U-19 European Championship .

Král made his debut for the Czech national team in a friendly against Brazil on March 26, 2019 when he came on for David Pavelka in the 69th minute .
