Alex Wilhelm

Alex Wilhelm is a German music manager who works in Los Angeles as Senior Director of the A&R division of Capitol Records . He passed his Abitur in 2005 at the Peter-Joerres-Gymnasium in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler .

From 2012 to 2014 Wilhelm was director of the A&R division of Warner Bros. Records , where he worked with artists such as Passenger, Jason Derulo and Bebe Rexha .

Before joining Warner Bros., he founded the A&R company Crazed Hits from Germany, through which he created the artists LMFAO , Katy Perry , Kesha , Drake , OneRepublic , Nicki Minaj , Hunter Hayes , Neon Trees , Owl City , Brantley, among others Gilbert , Imagine Dragons , Kimbra , Mike Posner , Jessie J , Odd Future and Kid Cudi .

Wilhelm was also responsible for discovering the Beyoncé hit If I Were a Boy and was described by the specialist magazine Musikmarkt as an “A&R child prodigy”.
