Alexander König (* 1976 in Trier ) is a German painter .

biography

From 1996 to 2003, König studied art, history and art history at the University of Leipzig . In 2008 he took part in the DAAD art exchange project “Hiwar Fanni” combined with a stay in Beirut . This was followed by a study of painting at the Leipzig College of Graphics and Book Art from 2008 to 2011.

In 2009 he participated in the founding of the “OneNightGallery” project with Sven Bergelt and Georg Brückmann . In 2011 he received a diploma in the class of Annette Schröter at the University of Graphics and Book Art in Leipzig . Exhibitions followed in Basel, Mechelen, Beirut, Berlin, Hamburg, Leipzig, Trier, Speyer, Offenbach, Ansbach, Mannheim and Zwickau. König lives in Leipzig.

Works by Alexander König are u. a. in the Silbersee Collection, Felix Collection, Hildebrand Collection ( G2 Kunsthalle ), Schubert Collection, SØR Rusche Collection , Holzmeier Collection (Lorenz Holzmeier, Rosenheim) and in the collection of the Sparkasse Leipzig .
