Alice Hannah Mei Qui Greczyn (born February 6, 1986 in Walnut Creek , California ) is an American actress and model .

Alice Greczyn was born in Walnut Creek and grew up in Longmont , Colorado , among other places , with her family often moving to the Midwest in the Rocky Mountains . She is the oldest of the five children of Theodore J. Greczyn and Wilma L. Greczyn, née Kroll. The couple has been married since 1984. Theodore J. Greczyn worked for Handyman Connection , a house modernization company. The family lived in relatively poor conditions. It has both Asian and European origins. Alice Greczyn did not attend high school , but received home schooling. After passing the General Educational Development Test , she started attending Front Range Community College when she was 15. She completed a 1.5 year training as a nurse and then switched to paramedics .

However, it was only possible to acquire a degree as a nurse at the age of 18. Instead, she turned to Workforce Boulder County employment agency for modeling training. Initially, she had some photo shoots in Denver . Then she was approached by a talent scout and went to Los Angeles for a pilot shoot . She was then booked for a commercial and subsequently for her first film appearances. She also took acting classes for over a year after arriving in Los Angeles.

Greczyn had her first small film role in 2004 as Linda in the comedy Suddenly in love . In the same year she took on guest roles in the sitcoms Phil from the future and Quintuplets . She also played Becky in the cartoon adaptation of Fat Albert . After this role, she decided to stay in the film business. Since then she has made regular appearances in film and television. Her larger feature film roles included that of Holly in the horror film Shrooms and that of the Amish girl Mary in Sean Anders' comedy Joyride . Greczyn was best known for her appearances in television series. She played a central role in Windfall , a 2006 NBC series about a city that wins the lottery. After two years in the film business, she achieved her first breakthrough as an actress. Windfall was discontinued after 13 episodes. From 2007 to 2009 Greczyn played the supporting role of the saga Maria Lund in Lincoln Heights on ABC Family . From 2011 to 2013 she was part of the main cast of The Lying Game , where she played the character Mads . In 2015 she took on the role of Emma Randall in the soap opera Shadow of Passion, which recurs in 11 episodes .

Greczyn's modeling career began as a hair model. In 2008, photos of her appeared in the men's magazine Maxim . She was discovered by Victoria Beckham at a beach party in Malibu and taken to New York for a photo shoot. There she was the model for Beckham's spring / summer 2011 collection in the area of ​​jeans and glasses. The new jeans line Alice was named after her.

Greczyn lives in Hollywood , California.
