In 2015 Alina Schuch took part in the U18 World Championships in Cali , where she won the bronze medal with 5896 points. In the following year, she won the gold medal at the U18 European Championships, which was held for the first time, against the Austrian Sarah Lagger with 6186 points. She also competed in the javelin throw and took sixth place in the final. In the indoor season 2017 Schuch improved the indoor junior record of the Swede Carolina Klüft to 4550 points and thus qualified for the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade , which she finished in eleventh place. At the Hypomeeting 2017 in Götzis, she improved her own personal best to 6106 points. At the U20 European Championships in Grosseto , she fought a thrilling duel with the Swiss Géraldine Ruckstuhl , which she won and was able to increase her record again. At the World Championships in London she finished 14th with 6075 points.
In 2018 she won the bronze medal in the U23 category at the European Winter Throwing Cup in Leiria . At the World Indoor Championships she was seventh in the pentathlon. At the U20 World Championships in Tampere she won the gold medal in the javelin throw at the beginning of the championships in 55.95 m. She was also a favorite for gold in the heptathlon, but had to end her competition prematurely after the opening hurdles sprint due to an injury.
In 2016 Schuch was Ukrainian champion in the heptathlon and in 2017 in the indoor pentathlon.
