He looks at her suspiciously, firmly convinced that one day he will be able to prove a technical error. Regine's father also sticks to conventional ideas about life: the retired widower expects a woman to continue doing her household chores if she is already going to work. Since Regine lives under his roof, corresponding conflicts are programmed. Regine's younger brother Willi, on the other hand, a slacker and day thief, as a man can afford anything to his father and makes full use of the freedom of a spoiled bohemian. Willi left school early, and he has no desire for a proper education anyway. Even at the moment of his death, the useless son and day laborer steals from his father.
Regine is engaged to a medical colleague who ensures her the few pleasant, private moments of happiness. However, this happiness is suddenly broken when he tells Regine during a car trip that for career reasons he would rather marry the boss's daughter. Regine is devastated and finds no consolation in the words of her ex, who assures that his feelings are still hers. She's fed up with this characterless guy and wants to get out immediately. When the man does not stop immediately, Regine grabs the steering wheel, causing a serious accident. Her fiancé dies, while Regine is only slightly injured. She flees from the scene of the accident in a panic, but she was watched by a drug addict from the clinic where she works. This man now begins to blackmail Regine. He demands of Regine to get him the urgently needed morphine , to which only she has access in the hospital. A vicious cycle begins that for Dr. Regine Lenz ends in court ...
Production notes
All sins of this earth originated in 1957 and was premiered on February 20, 1958 in Mannheim.
This was the first cinema production for the 35-year-old television director Umgelter.
With this production, the later "scandal" producer Wolf C. Hartwig ( schoolgirl report films of the 1970s) tried to break taboos at an early stage.
criticism
The film service says: "Although staged in a sober style, the film has nothing more to offer than a meager gossip story."
