Herbert Kroll (actor)

Herbert Kroll (born November 29, 1902 in Opole , Silesia , Germany , † October 29, 1985 in Hopfgarten, Tyrol , Austria ) was a German actor and radio director.

Life

In the 1920s and early 1930s, Kroll had played theaters on Berlin touring stages before moving to Munich in 1932. There, the native of Lower Silesia joined the Kammerspiele of the Schauspielhaus , to which he remained loyal until 1951. In that year he went to Bayerischer Rundfunk , where he worked as a game director (director). Parallel to his various activities at the theater and radio, Herbert Kroll has also appeared in a number of cinema films, mostly made in the Munich area, since 1939. Here he played the whole range of roles: servants and directors, mayors and academics, teachers and ministers. From 1957 onwards there were also various television commitments. At the end of the 1960s, Herbert Kroll retired from acting.
