I make you happy is a comedy film by the director Sándor Szlatinay from 1949. Heinz Rühmann embodies the early career newspaper reporter Peter Krüger in the leading role . The film is a remake of the Hungarian film Boldoggá teszlek (1944) based on a comedy by Gábor von Vaszary .
action
Peter Krüger, an aspiring young newspaper reporter, receives a cash gift of 500 marks from the daughter of the editor-in-chief of the newspaper . However, he thinks the gift is a wicked prank and refuses to accept it. In the further course of the film plot he is initially fired by his boss, but after some turbulence and situation-related comics, the story experiences a happy ending towards the end .
Production notes
The film was shot in the Bavaria Film studio in Geiselgasteig . The outdoor shots were taken in and around Munich. I'll make you happy came on 2 December 1949 in Dusseldorf in the German cinemas. Further publication dates (abroad) were February 28, 1950 in Austria and March 16, 1951 in Finland .
