Location of Allershausen in Lower Saxony

Allershausen is a village in the district of Northeim in southern Lower Saxony and a district of the city of Uslar with 569 inhabitants.

Geographical location

The B 241, L 554 (to Göttingen), the Sollingbahn and next to it the former Uslar – Schönhagen (Han) line . It was expanded into a footpath that leads from Allershausen through the Eichholz directly into the Uslar city center.

Allershausen is located on the southern foothills of the Solling above the Rehbach, which flows a little southeast, at about 175  m above sea level. NN . The village is located about 1 km southeast of the core city of Uslar, and the local boundaries are fluid. The district town of Northeim is 24 km northeast, Göttingen 22 km southeast and the Lower Saxony state capital Hanover 80 km north (in each case as the crow flies ).

Surname

In a book about the history of the village of Allershausen it is mentioned that the oldest form of its name is Algereshus or Aliereshus. The corresponding documents are, however, ascribed to Allersheim in more recent literature , whose name was only written in the 17th century with the ending "-heim". The spelling of the place name in the 14th century, which also refer to Allershausen according to recent research, is Allerdeshusen and Alhardeshusen . You can use the personal name Adalhard as a defining word .

history

According to the traditiones Corbeienses of the Corvey monastery , the name "Algereshus" is mentioned as early as 900 AD. In recent research, however, these documents from the Corveyer traditions are not assigned to Allershausen, but to Allersheim bei Holzminden. Accordingly, the first written mention would be found in the loan books of the dukes of Braunschweig from 1318.

According to the records of Corvey Monastery, today's village chapel, built towards the end of the 18th century, is said to have had a previous building several centuries older.

About five and a half years before the other 17 districts were incorporated, on July 1, 1968, Allershausen was incorporated into the city of Uslar.

Since November 1st, 2001 the village is again an independent part of the community Uslar.

  • Road: Some national roads run through Allershausen, such as the federal road B241 from Beverungen to Northeim and state roads to Göttingen and other surrounding cities. The next motorway junctions are on the A7 in Northeim, Nörten-Hardenberg and Göttingen.
  • Rail: In Allershausen the station of the city of Uslar is on the Sollingbahn , the route book route 356 leading from Ottbergen to Northeim. Göttingen is the next station where both IC and ICE trains stop.
  • Bus traffic: Several bus routes connect Allershausen with the city center and the surrounding towns and cities.

Attractions

The village chapel, whose parish belongs to the parish of Uslar in the parish of Leine-Solling , was built in 1771 and renovated in 1998.
