Am See is a place in Ennspongau in the state of Salzburg , and belongs to the municipality of Flachau in the district of St. Johann (Pongau) . The settlement is located on the Reitecksee , the Flachau bathing lake.

Geography and history

The place is located about 13 kilometers east of St. Johann , 6½ km west of Radstadt . It is located not far from Altenmarkt at the entrance to the Flachau Valley , at around 900  m above sea level. A. Height at the foot of the Blümck  ( 1695  m above sea level ), a secondary peak of the Hochgründeck- Stock.

The settlement includes around 40 addresses. It belongs partly to the locality and cadastral community Reitdorf , partly to Höch .

The settlement was only created as a result of the creation of an artificial bath.
