The Amazonis - degree field one of the 30 degree field of Mars . They were established by the United States Geological Survey ( USGS ). The number is MC-8, the degree field covers the area from 135 ° to 180 ° west longitude and from 0 ° to 30 ° south latitude . In the degree field lies the Amazonis Planitia region , which is believed to be the geologically youngest region on Mars.
