Sinus Sabaeus (Gradfeld)

The sine Sabaeus - degree field one of the 30 degree field of Mars . They were established by the United States Geological Survey ( USGS ). The number is MC-20, the degree field covers the area from 315 ° to 360 ° west longitude and from −30 ° to 0 ° south latitude .

The name comes from the old name for the Red Sea , Saba was part of the southern Arabian Peninsula . The Gradfeld contains the Schiaparelli crater near the equator , after which the Marslander of the same name was named, as well as Noachis Terra and Terra Sabaea .
