Aminopyralid is a chemical compound from the group of pyridinecarboxylic acids .

use

Aminopyralid, a synthetic auxin herbicide , was developed by Dow Chemical and launched in 2007.

The compound is used against problem weeds such as dock , thistle , buttercup species, ragweeds (ragweeds) and ragweeds . It is also effective against nettles, dandelions, chickweed and woody plants such as rubus (e.g. blackberries and raspberries), while aminopyralid is very well tolerated by grass. Aminopyralid is also effective against individual crops, such as. B. Legumes and nightshade family (potatoes), extremely effective with a NOEL of approx. 0.025 g ae / ha.

Admission

Aminopyralid is approved as an active ingredient in pesticides in many EU countries, including Germany and Austria, as well as Switzerland.

Remant effect

Aminopyralid is metabolized in grasses to an inactive cellulose compound. Aminopyralid bound to cellulose is not degraded under anaerobic conditions and can be reactivated after application with manure, slurry, liquid manure, compost or fermentation substrate. This can damage crops.
