The Amrumbank is a buoy laying authority for the Tönning Waterways and Shipping Office .
history
The ship was commissioned by the Mechanical Engineering North Department in 2009 . It is the first of a total of three vessels for the water and shipping authorities of Tönning, Bremerhaven and Wilhelmshaven with an order volume of around 40 million euros.
The ship was built in 2011 under construction number 5010 at the Fr. Fassmer shipyard in Berne . The launching of the ship took place in early November, baptism and handed over to the then Water and Shipping Authority Tonning took place on 17 November 2011th
The main tasks of the ship, which is stationed in the outskirts of Amrum of the Tönning Waterways and Shipping Office, include laying out, retrieving and checking navigation marks in the official area of the WSA Tönning off the west coast of Schleswig-Holstein . The ship can also be used for traffic safety tasks , to rescue obstacles and as an auxiliary ship in the event of an accident .
The ship was named after the shoal off Amrum called the Amrumbank and replaces the buoy laying boat Johann Georg Repsold , who was decommissioned on November 17, 2011.
Technical data and equipment
The ship is powered by two MAN - diesel engines each with 375 kW power driven, the two Voith-Schneider propellers act. In the bow of the ship there is a transverse thruster control system with an output of 200 kW. The ship with ice class E1 has an open working deck in the aft section. The deck superstructures are located in the bow area. A working crane equipped with a swell tracking device is available for launching and retrieving floating marks. The crane, which is located directly behind the superstructure of the deck, has a lifting capacity of 12 t with a reach of 17 m.
