Seibelsdorf Office
The Seibelsdorf office was an office , i.e. an administrative and judicial district of the Principality of Bayreuth , an imperial territory in the Holy Roman Empire . The principality, also known as the Margraviate of Brandenburg-Bayreuth , was assigned to the Franconian Imperial Circle and became part of Ansbach-Bayreuth when the Prussians took possession of it in 1791/92 .
geography
The Seibelsdorf office was an exclave of the Principality of Bayreuth, which was part of the Kulmbach administration . This was north of Kulmbach and was almost completely enclosed by the territory of the Bamberg monastery . The neighboring offices of Bamberg were the Kronach office in the northwest, the Wallenfels office in the northeast, the Wartenfels office in the east and the Stadtsteinach office in the south.
history
The territory of the Seibelsdorfer Amt was acquired by the Franconian Zollern in the first half of the 14th century . The area, which originally belonged to the Counts of Andechs, came into the possession of the Burgraviate of Nuremberg in 1340 via the noble family of Orlamünde .
structure
The administration of the office consisted of a Vogteiamt , a tax office and a Fraischvogteiamt . The Seibelsdorf office, however, did not have its own caste office for looking after the manorial properties; this task fell within the area of responsibility of the Kulmbach caste office . The Seibelsdorfer Amt only acted as an intermediate collection point.
Official seat
The seat of the Seibelsdorfer official administration was in the office of the bailiff in Seibelsdorf .
Official staff
At the head of the administration was an official bailiff , who was supported in his official business by a tax collector , an excise collector and a forester . In addition, a clerk and a cantor were also part of the official staff.
Bailiwick Office
The bailiwick district of the Seibelsdorfer Vogteiamt comprised the following village markings and localities in which village and community rule (DGH) or bailiwick was exercised:
- Feldbuch , Großvichtach (until: Vichtach ), Kleinvichtach (until 1875: Untervichtach ), Mittelberg , Poppenholz (condominium with the bailiwick of Stadtsteinach ), Seibelsdorf , Vogtsmühle and Waldbuch .
Fraischvogteiamt
The high court district of the Seibelsdorfer Fraischvogteiamt comprised the following village markings and localities in which the high court was exercised:
- Feldbuch, Großvichtach (until 1875: Vichtach ), Kleinvichtach (until 1875: Untervichtach ), Kübelhof , Mittelberg, Oberrodach (disputed with the Central Office Kronach ), Poppenholz (shared exercise of high jurisdiction with the Central Office Stadtsteinach ), Radspitzen , Rugendorf (only west of the Kaulbaches , there disputed with the Stadtsteinach and Wartenfels Centers ), Schrammersmühle (disputed with the Stadtsteinach Centers), Seibelsdorf, Unterrodach (only east of the Rodach , disputed there with the Kronach Centers ), Vogtsmühle, Waldbuch, Wichenmühle and Wurbach .
Tax office
The spatial sphere of activity of the tax office was congruent with that of the Seibelsdorfer Vogteiamt.
