Anastassija Silantjewa comes from the Siberian city of Novokuznetsk and started skiing together with her sister in 2003.
At the age of 16 she competed in her first FIS races in Russia . In January 2015 she took part in the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival in Malbun and finished 14th and 37th in giant slalom and slalom. The following winter she started at the Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer and achieved a 14th place in the combination as the best individual result . With the team she won the silver medal behind Germany . At the Junior World Championship in Sochi , she could not top this result in four races. She has been competing in the European Cup since December 2016 . Before she competed in five disciplines in her second JWM competition in Åre , she secured gold in combination and bronze with the team at the Universiade in Almaty . In her third JWM competition in Davos , she set a new record with 18th place in the giant slalom.
On December 29, 2017, she made her World Cup debut in the giant slalom in Lienz . Despite little experience, the Russian Federation took them on for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang .
