Anasztázia Nguyen (born January 9, 1993 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian sprinter and long jumper .
Athletic career
Nguyen, the child of a Hungarian mother and a Vietnamese father, was also a long jumper and pole vaulter at the beginning of her career, but then concentrated on the sprint. In 2009, she finished in the Youth World Championships in Bressanone in the 100-meter race in seventh place in 11.81 seconds and won with the Hungarian sprint relay (1000 meters) in 2: 09.22 min the silver medal. Then she won at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Tampere the bronze medal over 100 MEer in 11.85 s and the silver medal with the relay in 46.38 s. The following year she reached the semi-finals at the Junior World Championships in Moncton, Canada over 100 meters, in which she was eliminated with 11.92 s, while she failed with the relay with 45.77 s in the lead. She then took part in the first-ever Youth Olympic Games in Singapore , where she finished fifth in the A final in 11.81 minutes. In 2011 she set a new Hungarian female junior record of 11.55 s in the 100-meter final of the European Junior Championships and thus finished sixth and also with the relay she finished sixth in 45.24 s and thus set a Hungarian U23 record .
In 2012 she started in the 60-meter run at the World Indoor Championships in Istanbul , where she retired in the first round with 7.59 seconds. In 2015, she reached the semi-finals of the European Indoor Championships in Prague , where she was eliminated with 7.39 seconds. She then finished fifth over 100 meters at the U23 European Championships in Tallinn in 11.75 s. The following year she was eliminated from the World Indoor Championships in Portland with 7.46 s in the first round and also at the European Championships in Amsterdam she failed with 11.66 s in the lead and also did not reach the final with the relay in 44.34 s . In 2017 she was eliminated from the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade with 7.53 seconds in the preliminary round. In 2018 she qualified again for the European Championships in Berlin and was eliminated there over 100 meters with 11.72 s in the lead, as well as with the relay after 44.15 s.
Since 2018, she has been increasingly taking part in the long jump and took part in the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow in 2019 , where she was eliminated with 6.28 m in qualification. She then reached 25th place in the 100-meter run at the European Games in Minsk in 11.85 s and was twelfth in the long jump with a jump of 6.17 m. In the long jump, she also qualified for the first time for the World Championships in Doha , where she immediately reached the final and finished twelfth there with 6.26 m.
In the years from 2009 to 2011 and 2018, Nguyen was the Hungarian champion in the 100-meter run, as well as the 200-meter run in 2011 and the 4-by-100-meter relay in 2010 and 2011. She won the long jump outdoors from 2018 to 2020 and indoors in 2018 and 2020. In the hall she won in 2010 and from 2015 to 2018 also over 60 meters.
