Andy Wildi
Andy Wildi (born October 19, 1949 in Baden AG ) is a Swiss painter and draftsman .
life and work
Wildi attended the F + F School of Applied Arts (Zurich) and the Basel School of Applied Arts . He then worked as a freelance artist in Baden AG and in the atelier community Spinnerei in Wettingen and stayed for studies in England . He exhibited in art museums and created commissioned works in public spaces . In 1973, 1975 and 1978 he was awarded the Federal Art Scholarship. Since 1984 he has lived and worked in Novaggio (Ticino).
Wildi created wall paintings and is known as a designer of funny, paradoxical picture situations. In addition to painting and drawing, his artistic range includes action art , photography , stage design , film decor , object art and happenings .
