Anger Management is a US sitcom that premiered on June 28, 2012 in the United States on cable channel FX . It is based on the original film of the same name Die Wutprobe from 2003. The first season consists of ten episodes; after that another 90 episodes had been ordered. With the 100th episode in total, the series ended after two seasons in December 2014.
In mid-June 2013, Selma Blair was fired from Lionsgate production studio after an argument broke out between her and Charlie Sheen .

The series is about the former baseball player Charlie Goodson, who struggles to keep his aggression under control and later offers his services as an anti-aggression coach at home or in a nearby prison. Charlie is divorced, but has a very friendly relationship with his ex-wife Jennifer. Their daughter, Sam, has obsessive-compulsive disorder and is a typical teenager. Charlie's good friend and therapist Kate supports Charlie professionally and sexually every day. Both went to university together. He is always surrounded by family members, friends and people (mostly women) who do not make it easy for him.

The ten-episode first season premiered in the United States on June 28, 2012 on cable channel FX . The start of the series and the subsequent second episode advanced to be the most successful start of a comedy series on US cable television and a series at all on FX that ever existed. A total of 5.47 million viewers tuned in at first and 5.74 million viewers for the second episode, which led to a target group rating of 2.1 and 2.3. It was contractually stipulated that if a certain audience rating was reached, another 90 episodes would be ordered. The first season reached an average of 4.53 million total viewers and 2.5 million viewers from the advertising-relevant target group . The other 90 episodes were subsequently ordered, and production began in September 2012. It has been broadcast on FX since January 17, 2013. The series finale was broadcast on December 22, 2014.
- German-speaking area
The Tele München Gruppe secured the broadcasting rights for the entire German-speaking area in February 2012 . Anger Management has been available in German since April 2013 on the video-on-demand platform Watchever and via the iTunes Store. The broadcast in Germany should initially take place on the RTL Group channel VOX . In July 2014 it was announced that the broadcasting rights are now with RTL NITRO . The broadcast started on September 4, 2014.
The German-language first broadcast has been on the Austrian channel ATV since September 1, 2013 . In Switzerland, the station 3+ has been broadcasting the series in double episodes since September 2, 2013. Reps were also broadcast by the Swiss channels 4+ and 5+ . Furthermore, the series since July 6 2015 to the Pay TV transmitter Universal Channel and 2019 from Anixe HD series aired.
