The Angertal is a side valley of the Gastein Valley near Bad Hofgastein in Pongau , Salzburg State . The Angerbach , which flows through the valley, is an approximately 10 km long tributary of the Gasteiner Ache .
Run of the Angerbach
The Angerbach rises from numerous sources in the Kargebiet between Silberpfennig ( 2600 m above sea level ) and Kalkbretterkopf ( 2600 m above sea level ), in particular on Erzwiesberg ( ⊙ , near the Silberkarlscharte , the transition to the Upper Bockhartsee , also Pochkarsee) 2.000 m in height, as endorheic drainage of Erzwiessees ( 2174 m above sea level. A. ⊙ ), and from the Eckelgrubensee ( 2049 m above sea level. A. ⊙ ) or the coatings on Kalkbretterkopf ( 2229 m above sea level. A. ⊙ ).
In the Kataunergrund , the rear valley floor (1280 m ⊙ ), it takes up the Schattbach from the Mißpickelscharte ( 2461 m above sea level , transition to the Unteren Bockhartsee between Silberpfennig and Zittauer Tisch ), and at the Schockgut ( ⊙ ), at today's ski center, the Lafennbach (Lafenntal) from the Türchlwand ( 2577 m above sea level ). After about 5 kilometers of the valley floor, it flows through the Angerschlucht ( ⊙ ) and then leaves the Angertal.
It flows into the Gasteiner Ache at Gadaunern , a district of Bad Hofgastein, about 3 km above Bad Hofgastein .
Development
The lower Angertal is an alpine region , the upper valley at an early industrial mining area in which gold and silver was recovered, as well as the field names show diverse. In the area of the rear valley floor, seven late medieval melts have been identified, and there are still extensive slag heaps. The ores were transported from the Erzwies region to the valley floor in winter (with sack trucks , sacks made from animal skins). Even today, panning for gold offered as a tourist attraction, and the Knappenwelt Angertal from club VIA AUREA from Bockstein as Montanmuseum out.
The Angertal is also known for the Angertal ski center (1,175 m, ⊙ ) of the Schloßalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogel ski area of the Ski amadé ski association , from which the Stubnerkogel ( 2,250 m above sea level ) and the Schlossalm (2,050 m) below the Türchlwand are accessible. It can be reached by a road from Bad Hofgastein, which is also served by regular buses in the Salzburg Transport Association .
In summer, numerous hikes to the above-mentioned landmarks are possible, as well as various mountain bike tours.
In the Anger Gorge , the Angerbach is tapped for the Gasteiner Tal power plant group of Salzburg AG , where it is spanned by the Tauern Railway with the Angerschlucht Bridge ⊙ , the new construction of which went into operation in 2016.
A Heli Austria rescue helicopter with the nickname Martin 9 has been stationed in Angertal since winter 2009 . The heliport, which in winter only consists of a pair of containers, a tent and a helicopter transport pallet, is located below the self-catering hut "Anger-Alm". Because the rescue helicopter is only ready for use in winter, the heliport is almost completely dismantled in summer. Only the helicopter transport range remains in Angertal, as Heli-Austria sometimes uses the heliport as a starting point for transport, assembly and heli-logging flights.
