Anke Vondung

Anke Vondung (* 1972 in Speyer ) is a German opera singer ( mezzo-soprano , alto ).

Life

From 2003 to 2006 she was a member of the Semperoper , to which she subsequently stayed as a guest. Here she sang Giulio Cesare, Dorabella, Sesto, Octavian, Clairon ("Capriccio"), Cenerentola and Carmen, among others.

She sang in particular at the Salzburg Festival , the Glyndebourne Opera , the Bavarian State Opera , the Théâtre du Châtelet and the Opéra Bastille in Paris as well as the State Operas of Hamburg , Berlin and Munich and the Metropolitan Opera in New York City .

She sang the roles of Dorabella in Così fan tutte , Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro , Octavian in Der Rosenkavalier , Carmen in Bizet's opera , Marguérite in Berlioz's "Damnation de Faust" and Das Lied von der Erde by Gustav Mahler and many religious works by Johann Sebastian Bach. Her extensive concert repertoire also includes the cycle "Les nuit d'été" by Berlioz, which she interpreted with the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, among others.
