Arrive Friday the 13th is the second German studio album by German songwriter Reinhard Mey and was released in 1969 by Intercord .

content

In the song of the same name, Ankommen Friday, 13th, Reinhard Mey sings about the turmoil of such a day , which ultimately turns out to be Thursday the 12th.

Three love songs are also included on the album: Somewhere, Somewhere (music: Louis Rey) and Waiting . The Lament of a sentimental programmer is a "modern" ironic love song.

Mey thinks about the end of the world in the songs Lied, Read on the Bottom of a Beer Glass or A mug full of beer on the table in front of me and Today still thoughts.

The diplomatic hunt is about turbulent events that diplomats experience during a hunt, and in the song Sometimes, I remember images , the songwriter sings about being ashamed of the wealth of the wealthy, but then has the image of the suffering in mind and is ashamed of his shame because he is actually happy.

The song Ein Tag describes a completely normal, boring daily routine in a village with a church and pub as the focus. Homecoming deals with the coming home of someone who has moved abroad, and the song for the night is about the deceptive silence and calm of an evening.

Reinhard Mey deals with a historical topic again in his second album: This time in Kaspar he sings about the life of the foundling Kaspar Hauser , but in a modified form.
