Over the clouds (subtitle: songs from four decades from Orpheus to Rüm Hart ) is a compilation album by the German songwriter Reinhard Mey and was released on December 1, 2003 by EMI . It is named after his famous song Over the Clouds , which appeared in 1974.

The album features 67 songs by Reinhard Mey on four CDs from 1967 to 2002.

CD 1: 1967 to 1977

The most famous songs of the first ten years can be found on this CD: From I wanted to sing like Orpheus to Arrive Friday the 13th , The murderer is always the gardener , Annabelle, oh Annabelle , My eighth bay leaf to The hot battle on Cold buffet , Above the clouds , The time of the juggler is over , There are days when I wish I was my dog and an application for an application form or human cub .

CD 2: 1979 to 1994

On the second CD are songs like testimony day , no quiet minute , seasons , friendly faces or no, I won't give my sons! , All good things come in threes , 50! What now? and The children of Izieu .

CD 3: 1994 to 2002

On the next CD there are well-known songs by the songwriter such as I love my kitchen , Be alert , Poeter , Kaspar , Das Narrenschiff , Der Biker or What a lucky man you are , quarter to seven and Rüm Hart .

CD 4: Duets and rarities

On the last CD you can find duets and rarities: So Die Mädchen in den Schenken , the song for the Walt Disney film Robin Hood Not in Nottingham , the Dutch Wie vor Jahr und Tag ( Als de dag van toen ) and duets with Gunther Emmerlich ( Good night, friends ), with Ina Deter ( Just leave, just go ). The 12 Christmas days are also available as well as French songs: Que sont devenues les fleurs (German: Tell me where the flowers are ) and Une cruche en pierre (German: a stone jug). Live recordings of the songs Diplomatic Hunt and Peace are also on the CD, alongside the English Emely Anne .

Reinhard Mey published the song Jalalabad on this CD , which he recorded with I Muvrini and which was officially released the following year.
