Starportrait is the second compilation album by German songwriter Reinhard Mey . The double album was released by Intercord in 1977 and contains 24 of the artist's most successful songs to date.

content

The second compilation album contains songs from the entire period of the songwriter's work, which had been around for a good ten years. So it starts with his oldest published song ( I wanted to sing like Orpheus ) and follows almost chronologically the most famous songs like The murderer is always the gardener or Good night, friends . Dietrich Schulz-Koehn expressed in the blurb about the importance of songs in Germany and the position that Reinhard Mey has it. The blurb also contains a “profile” about Reinhard Mey and his career.
