The twelfth is the twelfth German studio album by the German songwriter Reinhard Mey and was released in 1983 by Intercord .

content

The album begins with What is in the newspaper , in which Reinhard Mey denounces the inaccuracies of the newspaper reports .

Help me is a love song

The songwriter sings about the demands of society in Demanding .

The song I would like to sing in Dresden one day deals with Mey's longing to sing in the GDR . The song contains a geographic error. The mentioned border town Küstrin is not in the former GDR, but in Poland . Mey didn't notice the mistake until the album was already released. However, the place Küstrin-Kietz was in Brandenburg and thus in the GDR (from 1954 to 1991 only Kietz).

Mey sings about experiences with his jacket in To my old jacket .

The song describes the (often dreary) everyday life of a housewife year after year .

Reinhard Mey wrote another song on the subject of aviation: On the wings of a colorful bird .

The song traffic situation report treats the many traffic jams on the roads in a somewhat ironic way.

The song I'm never bored again tells of society's television consumption .

In the first lesson , a father thinks about his newborn child.

In the mountain deals with the subject of mining .

Mey thinks about life after death in You've already asked me questions .
