Ann-Kristin Achleitner

Ann-Kristin Achleitner (* 16th March 1966 as Ann-Kristin Koberg in Dusseldorf ) is a German economist at the TUM School of Management . The professor of business administration also acts as a venture capitalist and is a member of the supervisory boards of various listed corporations.

Life

Ann-Kristin Koberg received her doctorate in economics in 1991 and in law in 1992 . She married Paul Achleitner , who has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank since May 2012 and CFO of Allianz SE from 2000 to 2012 . From 1992 to 1994 she was a lecturer in finance and external auditing at the University of St. Gallen , during which time she wrote her habilitation thesis on the topic of "The standardization of accounting: A comparative study of different institutional arrangements of the national and international standard-setting process".

From 1991 to 1992 she worked as a management consultant for MS Management Service AG, St. Gallen, and from 1994 to 1995 for McKinsey in Frankfurt am Main .

From 1995 to 2001 Ann-Kristin Achleitner was a professor in the endowed chair of banking and financial management at the EBS University of Economics and Law , before taking over the KfW endowed chair in entrepreneurial finance at the Technical University of Munich in 2001 . In addition to his work at the Technical University of Munich, Achleitner holds a visiting professorship at the University of St. Gallen .

From 2009 to 2012 Achleitner was a member of the Board of Directors of the Swiss private bank Vontobel . In 2010 she was co-founder of the Social Entrepreneurship Academy in Munich. She currently takes on the role of the academic advisory board there. In 2011 she joined the supervisory boards of the Metro Group and Linde AG . Since January 3, 2013, she has also been represented on the Supervisory Board of Munich Re . She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the French energy company Engie SA. She will hand over this post in May 2020.

In December 2009 Achleitner became active as a testimonial for the New Social Market Economy initiative . She was involved in a PR campaign for the statement "Social market economy makes it better ... because competition creates innovations."

In May 2016 she joined the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse AG . There she will get out at the same time as Engie in May of this year.

Achleitner has been a member of the International Advisory Board of Investcorp , a Bahrain- based investment company, since 2018 .

Ann-Kristin Achleitner is a member of the Trilateral Commission in Europe.

Private life

She has been married to the Austrian economic manager Paul Achleitner since 1994 , whom she met while studying in St. Gallen. The two have three children.
