Ann Lislegaard
Ann Lislegaard (* 1962 in Tønsberg ) is a Norwegian photographer and multimedia artist who lives in Copenhagen and New York . She studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen from 1988 to 1993 . Their sculptural works are based purely technical point of view on 3D computer animation and motivlich on science fiction -Texten. The artist incorporates sounds into her installations .
Works (selection)
- 2005: Bellona is a fictional city from Samuel R. Delany's novel Dhalgren (1975). Chaos is constructed in an 11-minute 3D animation.
- 2005: Slamming the Front Door . Slamming a house door is simulated.
- 2006: Crystal World . The journey in this 7-minute 3D animation leads, loosely based on James Graham Ballard's crystal world , into the wilderness - to an abandoned hotel that is slowly crystallizing. In the issue , the time ruined , besides Ballard nor Robert Smithson Dead Tree (1969) and so-called features (characters) as Eva Hesse piece of rope (Untitled (Rope Piece), 1970), Kurt Schwitters ' Merz Building (1920), Lina Bo Bardi's furniture and Bruno Tauts Glashaus (1914) incorporated.
- 2008: Left Hand of Darkness . The 12-minute 3D animation was designed based on Ursula K. Le Guin's Winterplanet and is related to Edgar Allan Poe's Down in the Maelström and to works by Marcel Duchamp and Maya Deren .
- 2010: Crop Circles ( Crop Circles ). The author calls her photo series a pastiche .
- 2010 Haunted Tapping of the Fox Sisters (for example: when the ghosts knock on the Fox Sisters), exhibitions in the Marabouparken konsthall Sundbyberg and in Stockholm
- 2011: Time Machine ( Time Machine ). In the 3D animation, the conceptual boundaries of literal speech are explored using HG Wells ' Die Zeitmaschine (1985).
- 2012: Oracles, Owls ... Some Animals Never Sleep (for example: oracles, owls ... some animals never sleep). The 3D animation is based on Philip K. Dick's novel Do androids dream of electric sheep? from 1968. The author takes Ridley Scott's Blade Runner from 1982 as a model.
- 2014: Dobaded Dobaded (12-min 3D animation). The basis is the novel Genshigari by the Japanese Chiaki Kawamata from 1984; Published in English in 2012 under the title Death Sentences .
- 2015 Paraspace , Tel Aviv Museum of Art : A phenomenon in the 21st century, the gradual diminution of the difference between man and machine, is accompanied by science fiction motifs.
