Anthony Skordi (* in London , United Kingdom ) is a British actor and voice actor .
life and career
Anthony Skordi's parents were from Cyprus . Due to color blindness , Skordi had to give up his career as a pilot in commercial aviation. He attended the Drama Center London and was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company from 1990 to 1992 . He was also part of the Vanessa Redgrave theater company .
In the 1990s, Skordi received his first television roles and appeared in the British drama series Soldier Soldier , The Bill and Thief Takers , among others .
In 2010, Anthony Skordi continued his acting career in numerous American television series, including the recurring supporting role Nemos in Scorpion . Appearances in The Blacklist , Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders , Shooter and The Last Ship followed . In 2017 he starred in the recurring role of Silas Manatos in the British series Prime Suspect 1973 , a prequel to the hit crime series Hot Suspect .
He also played the leading role of Captain Ahmet in the short film Straw Dolls from 2015. Before that, he appeared in 2012 together with Kevin Spacey in the short film Envelope . Skordi played the Caliph of Oran in the 6-part Hulu miniseries Catch-22 by and with George Clooney .
Starting in 2010, Anthony Skordi also spoke increasingly supporting roles in video games , including The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim , Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Assassin's Creed Odyssey . In Star Wars Battlefront II , he spoke the role of Admiral Garrick Versio in 2017 . The figure is optically based on Skordi, as he was recorded for the role using the motion capture process . He also spoke the character Valenos in the Australian computer game series Hand of Fate and the role of Nelson in the animated film Royal Corgi - The Queen's Favorite .
In 2012 Skordi's one-man show Onassis, The Play premiered at the Stella Adler Theater in Los Angeles . This was written, produced and finally performed by himself and earned praise from viewers and critics. Due to its success, it was planned to also perform the piece in New York City in 2020 , but this has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic .
Skordi continues to work as an audio book speaker. Since 2015 he can be heard as a narrator in the radio play series John Sinclair - Demon Hunter , the English-language version of the German horror series Geisterjäger John Sinclair .
He lives in Los Angeles , California . In March 2014, Skordi announced that he was now a US citizen . The British professional boxer Chris Evangelou is his cousin. He is also a relative of the singer George Michael , whose father was also a Cypriot Greek .
