Toni Steurer

Toni Steurer , actually Anton Steurer (born December 1, 1978 in Oberstdorf ), is a German extreme ski touring athlete and mountaineer and climber .

Professionally, Steurer is stationed as a soldier in the Bundeswehr medical service at the Kempten site . He is a trained mountain guide . The passionate alpine sportsman is a member of the DAV -Sektion Oberstaufen and the German national ski mountaineering . At the age of 17 he already climbed the north face of the Eiger , making him one of the youngest climbers.

In the field of mountaineering and climbing, his main focus is on climbing difficult, combined mountain faces in the shortest possible time. He prefers to integrate skis into his tours, but also sports equipment such as mountain bikes . In the "International Year of Mountains" 2002 he climbed together with Walter Hölzler from Thalkirchdorf in a hat trick over the three pillars of Piz Palü in the 4000 meter high Swiss Bernina group within 24 hours . He also undertook some first ascents of alpine tours in the Allgäu region in the range of degrees of difficulty 7 to 9.

    • 15th place world championship in ski mountaineering single in Claut, Italy
    • 11th place world championship in the ski mountaineering team in Claut, Italy (with Sepp Rottmoser)
    • 6th place world championship in ski mountaineering relay in Claut, Italy (with Sepp Rottmoser, Lex Conrad, Anton Palzer )
    • 1st place in Guntenlauf Austria with a new record time
