Anton von Wegnern
Anton Wilhelm Pius Gustav von Wegnern (born April 6, 1809 in Preußisch Eylau , † November 14, 1891 in Berlin ) was a Prussian administrative officer and German politician.
family
He came from a family who originally lived on their estate in Osterweddingen ( Province of Saxony ), but had already moved to Königsberg in the 16th century, where they were raised to the Polish nobility in 1635 and given the Prussian indigenous status. He was the son of Carl von Wegnern (1777-1854), Königsberg Tribunal President and Chancellor of the Kingdom of Prussia , and Emilie Hedwig Countess zu Eulenburg (1780-1853) from the House of Prassen.
Wegnern married on April 24, 1840 in Königsberg Elma Biegon zu Czudnochowski (born March 17, 1818 at Bledau Castle near Cranz ( Königsberg district ); † February 22, 1900 in Berlin). Two sons came from this marriage, the royal Prussian Colonel Friedrich (Fritz) Wilhelm von Wegnern (1851–1924), most recently director of the Great Military Orphanage in Potsdam , and the princely schaumburg-Lippe state minister and real secret councilor Martin von Wegnern (1855–1897 ).
Life
Wegnern studied law at the Albertus University in Königsberg and became a member of the Lithuania Corpsland Team . Around 1835 he was transferred to the Masonic lodge to the three crowns in Königsberg i. Pr. In which his father, the Chancellor of the Kingdom of Prussia Carl von Wegnern , had recently received the honorary master's degree for his services as master of the lodge.
After the preparatory service, Wegnern was appointed as a government assessor on April 20, 1843 to the district administrator in the district of Lyck . He took the same position in 1851 in the district of Königsberg i. Pr. A. From 1856 he was senior government councilor and government vice-president in the Liegnitz administrative region . From 1871 he performed the same function in the Poznan administrative district . In 1873 he was appointed district president in the district of Bromberg . He was a real secret councilor.
During the German Revolution of 1848/49, Wengern was a deputy member of the Prussian National Assembly and a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly . In this he belonged to the Café Milani faction and the Casino faction . In 1850 he was a member of the Erfurt Union Parliament . In 1855 and 1856 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives .
