Armand Putzeys
Armand Putzeys (born November 30, 1916 in Engis ; † November 24, 2003 in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek ) was a Belgian cyclist and national cycling champion .
Athletic career
In 1936 Putzeys won the Belgian championship in the amateur road race . He was a participant in the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin . There he finished 6th in the road race and won bronze in the team standings with August Garrebeek (whom he had relegated to second place in the championship race) and Jean Francios Vander Motte .
In 1938 he became professional drivers in the French team Helyett-Hutchinson . In 1946 he ended his career in the Rochet-Dunlop team , which included Raymond Louviot . He won a few smaller races, but the pros have not had any major successes.
