Jacques Geus
Jacques Geus (born February 22, 1920 in Laeken , † July 13, 1991 in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode ) was a Belgian cyclist and national champion in cycling .
Athletic career
Geus won the Belgian championship road race of amateurs in 1938 (before Omer Tack ) and 1939 (before Willy Parmentier ). In 1941 he transferred to the Independent Camp . From 1942 to 1956 he was active as a professional driver. In 1947 he was runner-up among the professionals behind Émile Masson jr. His most important victories were the Paris – Limoges races in 1946 and the Wallonie GP in 1949. He also won other races in Belgium and France . In 1949 he was 27th in the overall standings at his only start in the Tour de France .
Professional
After his career he ran a café in Brussels .
