Daniel Willems
Daniel Willems (born August 16, 1956 in Herentals ; † September 2, 2016 in Vorselaar ) was a Belgian cyclist . He began his professional career in 1978 and was active as a professional until 1985. In 1977 he became Belgian champion in the amateur road race .
Willems took part in the Tour de France three times and finished it only once, in 1982 , in seventh place. He was successful in both one-day races and stage races . He won four tour stages, Paris – Tours , the Wallonian Arrow and Around the Henninger Tower .
