The men's street race at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin took place on August 10, 1936. For the first time in the history of the Olympic Games there was a mass start .

The times of the four best athletes of each nation counted as results for the team classification .

Route

The start and finish of the 100 km long race was the AVUS Nordschleife . The route led over the south loop of the AVUS, Schildhorn , the Heerstraße , Staaken , Dallgow , Döberitz, the Olympic village , Priort , Kartzow , Fahrland , Krampnitz, Groß Glienicke , Karolinenhöhe , the Heerstraße and Schildhorn back to the south loop of the AVUS and back to the start and goal.
