IC 245 is a galaxy of Hubble type in the constellation Cetus south of the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 202 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 65,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies IC 251 and IC 252 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on December 2, 1891 .
