Armin Münch (born January 13, 1903 in Dortmund , † October 2, 1957 in Berlin ) was a German actor , radio play and voice actor .

Life

Münch completed an apprenticeship at the drama school founded by Max Reinhardt at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin. After his first positions at theaters in Dortmund and Mönchengladbach , he got an engagement at the Rotter theaters in Berlin, run by the brothers Alfred and Fritz Rotter . There he appeared in the Metropol Theater , the Theater in the Admiralspalast and the Plaza, among others .

From 1935 he also worked in various film productions, mostly in supporting roles . Among them were the National Socialist propaganda films Attention! Enemy hears with! and Jud Süß , although the latter can only be shown as a reserved film in Germany under strict conditions. But he also played in entertainment films such as Kitty and the World Conference by Helmut Käutner with Hannelore Schroth , Fritz Odemar and Max Gülstorff and Quax, the Bruchpilot by Kurt Hoffmann with Heinz Rühmann , Karin Himboldt and Harry Liedtke .

After 1945 Armin Münch turned mainly to radio . For the broadcasters RIAS Berlin , Nordwestdeutscher Rundfunk (NWDR) and Bayerischer Rundfunk , he appeared in numerous cabaret programs and several radio plays . In 1949, together with Betty Sedlmayr, recordings ( Amiga production ) with songs by Walter Kollo were added.

In 1953 he was on television in the production What is not in the Baedecker: Please, board the cheese tour! with Erich Fiedler , Ekkehard Fritsch and Brigitte Mira . Armin Münch also worked as a voice actor. So you could hear him in 1951 in the production of the Walt Disney Studios Alice in Wonderland in the role of Dodo as a German voice.

Armin Münch was married and had a daughter. He died on October 2, 1957 in Berlin-Schöneberg .
