Arrozales is a town in the Tarija Department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Arrozales is the central place of the canton Arrozales in the municipality of Bermejo in the south-eastern part of the province of Aniceto Arce . The village is located at the mouth of the Río Nueve at an altitude of 382  m on the right bank of the Río Grande de Tarija , which forms the border with neighboring Argentina here.

Arrozales is located on the southeastern edge of the Bolivian Andes chain in the transition to the Gran Chaco , which stretches across northwest Paraguay , northeast Argentina and southeast Bolivia. The climate is subtropical with hot humid summers and moderately warm and dry winters.

Transport network

Arrozales is 228 kilometers by road south-east of Tarija , the capital of the department.

Arrozales is located on the highway Ruta 33 , of the city of Bermejo in the south to Caraparí leads; From Caraparí, the Ruta 29 continues to Campo Pajoso and meets the lowland highway Ruta 9 , which leads from Yacuiba in the south via the metropolis of Santa Cruz all the way north to Guayaramerín in the Beni lowlands on the Brazilian border.
