Arthur Espiritu
Arthur Espiritu (* 1982 in Tanay ) is a Filipino - American opera singer with a tenor voice .
Life
The Filipino tenor studied at the Oberlin Conservatory ( Ohio ) and the University of New Orleans . He completed his studies with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Music.
Numerous engagements in the field of lyric and spinto tenor have taken him to Santa Fe , St. Louis , New Hampshire , Memphis , Pittsburgh , Connecticut , Charlottesville , Washington, DC , Austin , New York City , Manila and Tel Aviv .
In Europe he sang at opera houses in Milan , Cremona , Modena , Piacenza , St. Gallen , Versailles , Orléans , Versailles, Paris , Baden-Baden , Berlin , Leipzig , Magdeburg , Wiesbaden , Basel and Linz .
He appeared here as Tybalt in Charles Gounod's Romeo et Juliette , Tamino in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte , Alfredo in Verdi's La traviata , Rodolfo in Giacomo Puccini's La Bohème , and Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni . But he also took part in contemporary operas, such as the flute in Benjamin Britten's Midsummer Night 's Dream . At operklosterneuburg he performed as Ernesto ( Don Pasquale ) in 2012 and as Duca di Mantova ( Rigoletto ) in 2015 .
Espiritu is also active in the concert sector and sang Gioachino Rossini's Messa di Gloria in Hong Kong , Beethoven's 9th Symphony in Milan, Cremona and Finland.
