After the end of the Second World War , Raschke was appointed to the trust committee in Wilhelmshaven, which was convened by the British military government on July 19, 1945 due to his political activities in the center during the Weimar Republic . This committee, which actually had no decision-making powers, was appointed city council on October 24, 1945. From the elections of 1946, Raschke was a member of the city council without interruption until his death.
